My name is Rima, and I am running as an Independent Candidate for Murrumbidgee during the ACT Legislative Assembly Elections that will be held in October 2024.​

 

I am running because our community deserves fresh perspectives and genuine representation. My candidacy represents a commitment to put the needs of our community above party politics and special interests. ​​

 

Your vote is a vote for change and a new approach to governance. It's a chance to elect someone to work with you, prioritizing transparency, accountability, and effective solutions that truly address our community needs.

 

If I get elected, my voice will be a voice for Canberrans. ​I am passionate about driving change in many areas that GREATLY impact our life: health, cost of living, wellbeing and support, mental health, pay rise for our essential workers, transportation, safety, suburbs, local businesses, recreational activities, physical health and exercise.

I believe that we, Canberrans, should have a say in decision making. I will push for effectively capturing the perspectives of our community on important topics, by implementing a structured approach using polls and surveys. This initiative will ensure that residents have a voice in shaping decisions that impact their lives, in deciding what really matters to them, so funds and budget can be directed to meet the needs of our community.
